One word. Perseverance. Try new things, learn from your mistakes, develop skills and try again. Because of pageantry I have become a better woman. I have discovered more of ME and I am so thankful for this opportunity.
Pageant weekend was an event that I will hold so dear to my heart. Dezirae was floating on stage and just blew me away. Alexis cried while she saw her twin sister be cool as a fan on stage. I couldn’t be more proud of the awesome young ladies the twins are turning out to be. For Dez’ very first pageant, she placed 1st runner up!! SO SO PROUD! And she came runner up to a delegate who was no stranger to the pageant world. Dezirae was so gracious as she was named first runner up and congratulated the new titleholder. Of course I was crying on stage the whole time. So much happiness filled my heart and hearing the roar from our friends and family.
We set a personal goal for this pageant. (We- Lex, Dez and Mommy) Lex was our support backbone. She helped Dez walk and practice her routine. We decided that she would play soccer after the pageant and Dez was going to try ballet. So no matter what the turnout, we had something to look and work forward to. GOALS. Dez also wanted to wear her new high top chucks to school that were blinged out! Her friends said they were magical! As for my goal, it was to wear a two piece. The United States Organization gives you the option to wear a one piece or two. With my insecurities, I never wear a bikini. My personal blocks would never let me bare that much skin. But I did it! I coached myself to let go and tear down these blocks of mine and I felt so good about myself! Mission accomplished for our team.
As a life coach, I have learned to set small goals and some goals with challenge. It is the perfect balance of feeling accomplished and working hard. We as humans love to feel the gratitude from accomplishment and we do a million times better as people in this world. In order to make that impact and get that message out into the universe, I have to share my journey. And that is why you are here. My mission is to get you to #empoweryourself <3 When one feels empowered, anything can be done. No matter how bad things are, the problem is, we have a hard time finding ourselves capable of feeling empowered. Thats where I come in. I want to coach you to find that self discovery!

Onward and Upward. Below are some pics from the night! Here is Dez with her pageant coach. Katie Kelley from Queens Vault! Thanks to Katie, she brought out some more light from my baby girl! She helped her shine brighter than before! Dez had the BEST time and she is ready to do it again!
I am honored and will spend my reign/life making the difference this community deserves.
